VIRTUAL BIBLE STUDY : Wednesdays at 6:15 p.m. Join facilitators  Rev. Mililian Scott, Rev. Hazel Reese and Reginald Sadler on your favorite platform as they lead a study on prayer, based on the book, Prayer-An Adventure with God,” by David Healey.   Call 803-429-0127 to join the Zoom class for young people. 

WOMEN’S DAY 2024: 

• Theme: Our theme is “Going Forward with Optimistic Expectations: Women of God Stepping Up with Faith and Anticipation.”  Our scripture is Philippians 1:6
• Colors: This year’s colors are pink and pearl. 
• Financial Goal: Our Women’s Day Financial Goal is $50,000.  Pledge cards were distributed in the packets that have been distributed or you may also obtain from the vestibule or any member of the finance committee.  
• Mary B. Scott Scholarship: Scholarship applications are being accepted now through April 30th for the Mary B. Scott Women’s Education Empowerment Scholarship.  Applications are available through the church office.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL:  April is Vacation Bible School registration month.  This year, VBS is June 3-7.  Classes serve toddlers through senior adults.  Register at the media desk or call the church office.  It is in-person.

THE PPCDC UNCLAIMED PROPERTIES INITIATIVE:  The goal is to unite South Carolina residents with unclaimed funds being held by the State Treasurer’s office. When a State and/or business entity owes money to an individual or business that it can’t locate, the funds are held by the state.  The South Carolina Treasurer’s office has over $850 million dollars in unclaimed property/funds.  It is easy to check to determine if there are funds owed to you, living relatives, or deceased family members.  Scan the QR code or contact the South Carolina Treasurer’s office at (803) 734-2101.

ANGELS OF PRAISE: Parents of children ages 6-18 who want to join the youth praise dancers should contact Willie J. Stokes through the church office.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: The First Nazareth Food Pantry needs volunteers. The pantry is open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturdays. If you can spare at least two hours or belong to an organization interested in community service, please contact the church office.

PNBC 2024: The Progressive National Baptist Convention convenes in New Orleans August 5-9.  Cost ranges from $375-$825. The cost includes housing and transportation.  Seating is limited..  Payments may be made via Cash App, online or to Cheryl Davis-Reeves, Corlis Hinton, Angela Taylor or Rev. Brant Nichols.   Call the church office for further information.

VOTING:  Be an informed voter in 2024! Visit scvotes.org to register online to vote, to find out what Senate and House districts you live in because district lines have been redrawn, to find out who the candidates are, plus lots of other information. 

• VOTER REGISTRATION: May 12th is the deadline to register for the June 11th primaries. Students who will be 18 before Nov. 5th can register now to vote. Voter application forms are available at the media desk.  Your vote is your voice. Be heard in 2024!
• ABSENTEE VOTING: Absentee voting allows qualified voters to cast a ballot by mail prior to Election Day. To avoid long lines — Call, visit or send your request for an absentee application by U.S. mail to your county voter registration office now. You must provide your name, date of birth and last four digits of your Social Security Number. You will be mailed an application to complete and return.
